Six months after giving birth and at age forty, Halle Berry has been named the sexiest woman alive by the men’s magazine Esquire.As a celebration of the magazine’s anniversary Berry poses in re-creations of the mag’s covers. In an article posted on the Esquire website, the 42-year-old star responds: "I know damned well I’m sexier now than I used to be.
"Sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you damn near get hip dysplasia; it’s about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind — a comfortable state of being," she said.
"It’s about loving yourself even in your most unlovable moments."
Berry gave birth in March to a baby girl, fathered French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, 32.
Berry won an Oscar in 2002 for her role in the movie "Monster’s Ball." With the Oscar win, Berry became the first black woman to take home an Academy Award for Best Actress.
