Kajol is goodwill ambassador of Loomba Trust

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”, said Mahatma Gandhi. Here lies a missy, who gets elated treading on these sayings. Yup! Actress Kajol is so gleeful over getting appointed as the brand ambassador for Britain-based Loomba Trust. Concerned for the education of Children and poor widow, the Trust keeps working for their well being.


“I am so privileged to be a part of such a great Trust”, said Kajol as she was honored with a memorial by Cherie, President of Loomba Trust. Cherie Blair is the wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Kajol was present there at annual Diwali dinner on October 2, which is also marked the UN International Day of Non-violence as it was the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji.

Donation of 150, 000 pounds was raised by Trust to provide free education to poor children and monitory fund for widow women in India.

Speaking with high-spiritedness, Cherie stated that with the funds raised by the Trust around 100 children and widows of poor children in every state of India have been benefitted. Also added, she has also strode with the trust’s projects in other countries Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, Kenya and Uganda.
