Play back singer K J Yesudas to be honoured
South Indian Bank on the occasion of its 80th anniversary will honour famous playback singer K J Yesudas, film-maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, father of India’s White Revolution Verghese Kurien. The others selected for the honour are leading cardiologist Dr K M Cherian and NRI entrepreneur M A Yusuff Ali, in recognition of their outstanding performance in their respective fields and services to the country. The awards carry Rs 100,000 each, citation and memento. The honour would be bestowed on them at a special function to be organised on January 29, 2009 on the 80th anniversary of SIB, a leading private bank of the country
